Microsoft Gives The FBI A Key To Your Computer
If you use a Windows computer, Microsoft has a key that unlocks your entire life, and they're giving it to the FBI.
It's called BitLocker.
It's designed to encrypt and protect your computer.
By default, Microsoft tells you to back up your secret recovery key to their cloud.
The problem:
When the FBI sent Microsoft a warrant, they handed over the keys without a fight.
Apple and Meta have systems that make this impossible.
They're designed so that not even they can access your keys, but Microsoft made a deliberate choice not to do that.
They built a backdoor and the government's using it.
