Discord Got Hacked And Still Wants Your ID
Starting next month, Discord will force you to hand over your face or your ID to get full access.
And they've already proven they can't protect it.
To comply with new age verification laws, Discord is setting all accounts to a ""teen-appropriate"" experience by default.
To unlock adult servers, you will have to either give them a video selfie for an AI to scan, or a photo of your government ID.
Just four months ago, Discord's last age verification system was hacked.
According to the company, hackers stole 70,000 government IDs, along with the names, usernames, and email addresses attached to them.
Now, they're about to collect millions more.
