AI isn’t the threat. Losing yourself is.

Lately, everyone’s talking about AI like it’s the big bad wolf.

Will it finally replace me? Has it already flooded the internet with too much junk?

Real talk…
AI isn’t the thing that’ll take you out.

You are.

When you start chasing tools, trends, and tactics without checking in with yourself first, you drift.
Not all at once.
Slowly.

One tweak for the algorithm.
One pivot for the platform.
One post you wouldn’t have written a year ago.

Next thing you know, you’re sitting on a body of work you barely recognize.

It’s not that the bar for content has risen.
It’s that the entire bar has disappeared.
There’s no clear standard anymore. Only the experience you create for the people stepping into your world.

The creators who AI will never replace?

They aren’t the ones mastering the latest tools faster.

They’re the ones building a world that’s unmistakably theirs.

They’re the ones whose work feels alive when everything else feels optimized.

If you’ve been feeling restless lately, it’s not a sign you need to keep up,
it might be a sign you need to come back.

Come back to your instincts.
Come back to your standards.
Come back to why you’re creating and sharing in the first place.

Before you post, create, or pivot, ask yourself:
Would I be proud of this if nobody saw it today?

👍 If yes, you’re on the right track.
👎 If no, the algorithm isn’t your problem.

You are.

But the good news?
You’re also the solution.

Keep creating,
Dylan

P.S. I go deeper into this idea on today’s podcast. Especially how I’m thinking about AI, originality, and keeping your work rooted in something real. If you’ve been feeling that pull to recalibrate, you’ll probably dig it.
